About           Clyde Hamilton

Background:
I have been dancing in competition and performing for over twenty years.  My experience includes: Line dance, clogging, ball room, square and country couples.

I began my dance career in Line Dance, received second place in Nashville’s Wild Horse Saloon competition and first place, small group, in Rising Star Regional competition.

I received my first first place in the clog category (single male) at the Northeast Regional, Showstoppers in Columbus, Ohio.  My dance group, The Step Brothers, won second place in group division at the Florida State Fair and two first place ribbons in duo and single male.

I was a thirteen year member of the dance group, L.A. Country Dancers, winners of numerous awards including best group overall (Black Ribbon) at the Rising Star Competition in Columbus, Ohio and first place group at the Nationals in Maggie Valley.  The L.A. Country Dancers have performed internationally and nationally including: Austria, Branson Missouri, Disney World, The Gator Bowl, Nashville and many others.  I also performed with the group in Branson and The Kennedy Center and Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and  I have  performed at the Savannah Center in The Villages many times with various groups.
 

Teaching Background:

I am a Certified Clogging Instructor and have taught at The Villages Lifelong Learning College in The Villages, Florida.

Classes taught there were:  Beginners, Clogging II and Intermediate classes.

I currently teach classes every Friday afternoon at The Bacall Recreation Center. 

Beginners class starts at 11:30AM until 12:15PM

Beginners Plus class starts at 12:15PM until 1PM

Those not interested in participating are welcome to be spectators. 

 

General 

• Director/choreographer of The Step Brothers Cloggers and The Step Family Cloggers performing groups.

• Certified Florida Clogging Council Instructor.

• Host of the yearly 'Clog Dancing Workshop' at the Villages, Fl.  All ages are welcome to participate in this day-long event.

• Producer/Director of fundraiser stage shows here at The Villages, Florida.
    Two successful endeavors:
    Celebration of Liberty to raise funds for Moffitt Cancer Center
    Flying Across America to raise funds for Operation Shoe Box and our local Hospice here in the Villages.

• I support all things clogging. I am happy to promote all the workshops held in Florida. I also lend my support by attending them and 
    enjoy teaching new clog dance routines at some of the dance workshops in the state.
